OP-TIMIZER is a desktop application by Andy Prinz Publishing, based in Binz-Maur, Switzerland. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
2. Data We Collect
License Activation
When you activate your license key, the following data is sent to our payment provider (Polar.sh):
- Your license key
- A machine fingerprint (hashed combination of CPU ID and computer name — not personally identifiable)
- Operating system version and app version
This data is used solely to validate your license and enforce the 2-machine activation limit.
Purchase Data
Purchases are processed by Polar.sh, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Polar collects your payment information and email address. We do not have access to your credit card details. Please refer to Polar's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.
No Telemetry
OP-TIMIZER does not collect any telemetry, usage analytics, crash reports, or system scan results. All scan data stays on your local machine.
3. Data Storage
License data is stored locally on your computer in an encrypted file (%APPDATA%\OP-TIMIZER\license.dat), protected by Windows DPAPI encryption. No data is stored on our servers.
4. Third Parties
We use the following third-party service:
- Polar.sh — Payment processing, license key management, file delivery. Polar acts as Merchant of Record and handles VAT/tax compliance.
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any other third parties.
5. Cookies
This website does not use cookies or tracking technologies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar services.
6. Your Rights
Under Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request information about your stored data
- Request deletion of your data
- Deactivate your license and remove local data at any time
